Workshop with students by UoM on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On 7th December, 2016 the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated at Maritime Faculty.

Therefore, Trans2Work project team members organized a workshop in order to present the achieved results in the area of improvement the position of students with disabilities in our society and provide them the transition from high education to work. Students from Maritime Faculty had the opportunity to meet with the goals of the project activities as well as the mobility process for students with disabilities in Europe and the nearest environment.

Also, the film done by Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro under the title Moving the boundaries is shown with the emphasis on the life and education of three students with disabilities from Montenegro, after that the participants had the opportunity to meet the conditions of their studying and the support that they are needing during the process of education.

Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities has been celebrated annually on 3rd December around the world. The statistics show that 10% of world population makes persons with disabilities. All countries are invited to celebrate this day dedicated to persons with disabilities in order to improve their position and equal enjoyment of human rights and participation in society.
