International Students’ Day

Association of Students with Disabilities is celebrated November 17th- International Students’ Day. As part of activities to mark the day ASD organized a round table on theme”Participation of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education – Challenges and Perspectives”.
Round table participants were representatives highest national students organizations:Student Conference of Serbian Universities (SKONUS), Student Conference Vocational Academies of Serbia (SKASSS) and Union students of Serbia (SUS).

This organisations gathered students from University of Belgrade, University of Kragujevac, University of Nis, University of Novi Sad,University of Kosovska Mitrovica, University of Novi Pazar, University Singidunum so we could say that this round table has had national level. During the session, participants discussed about the situation of students with disabilities, their concerns for greater participation in higher education and barriers. Special emphasis put on possibilities for engaging students with disabilities in a students organization. According to this ASD presented main goals and ideas of project “Trans2Work”, and results of researches from WP1. Students showed very interested, especially in contribution and support for improvement mobility of students with disabilities, that will follow in the coming period of project.
