Round table, organized by University of Sarajevo and Profil Management Consulting d.o.o, was held on Wednesday, 07.12.2016. The activity was hosted by University of Sarajevo. Dissemination activity goals were: presentation of the project to the academic staff, students, employers, representatives of NGOs and the media; exchange of experiences and opinions about the need and possibilities of linking higher education and the labor market; connecting higher education institutions with a working environment that is adjusted to people with disabilities; sensitization of employers to understand the needs of people with disabilities in order to create and offer appropriate jobs.
The participants of the round table, after opening, were welcomed by prof.dr.Izet Rađo, Vice Rector for science/art research of the University of Sarajevo and then by prof.dr.Lejla Kafedžić, coordinator of the project for the University of Sarajevo. Doc.dr.Lejla Hodžić met the participants of the round table with the project and realized activities in the period October 2015-December 2016, and in particular with the activities of WP3 package whose implementation is coordinated by a team of University of Sarajevo. After that, participants were addressed by representatives of the Fund for Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Person with Dissabilities FBiH, Association of Employers of FBiH, Manager Mistral Technologies, NGO My Right – Empowers people with disabilities and student Alma Mujanović. Participants of round table were representatives of institutions/associations/NGOs relevant to the topic of the round table and representatives of employers/real economy: Profil MC, HR Manager Mistral Tehnologies, Bosnalijek d.d., ProReha, Atlant BH, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Porche BH d.o.o, Raiffeisen Bank d.d. BiH, Vakufska banka, Krila nade, Sarajevska pivara d.d, BH Telecom d.d. and UG Nešto više. Members of the academic community, students with disabilities, students in the 3rd year of the 1st cycle of the Department of Pedagogy and project team members also participated event. Based on the presentations and discussions, the moderator of the round table, prof.dr.Snježana Šušnjara presented conclusions and recommendations.
